I am in SUCH a good mood today.

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary. So we went out to The Cannery for dinner. It actually took a lot to get me there, because I was feeling guilty about money, and guilty about calories... it was a difficult morning.

But Andrew, love of my life, smart man, perfect man, pointed out that it's really not fair that we are being required to spend money to go to Edmonton, and Kelowna, to visit family for Christmas, but that we would have to skip out on celebrating our anniversary for money reasons as well.

And I realized that if he was willing to do that, that being worried about calories seemed pretty unreasonable. After all, isn't life for living??

So we went to The Cannery.

*sigh*

We got a whole bottle of a BC sparkling white wine! And our waitress tied a great big balloon with stars on it to my chair (it is now floating in our living room). The meal started with yummy warm bread that we dipped in lobster oil and balsamic vinegar.... *sigh*

Then we shared Salmon Wellington and a monkfish dish.

I ate until I could eat no more, and he still had to eat more than half of everything. Heh.

I got nice and tipsy, it was so nice to be with my man and forget about money and forget about calories, and just enjoy ourselves. It was really really really really wonderful!!!!

THEN they gave us a free truffle chocolate mousse cake for dessert!!!

This was what I needed. Sure, I'm going to have to work 4 extra hours to pay for it (plus the 8 I'm working for the computer, plus 5 to make up for TELUS and their weird billing is a LOT, but whatever, I'm not worried. Right now.), but it really was an escape. Only not an escape. If that makes sense.

So I'm a happy girl today. Floaty. Content.
